Watch this TWP Short Film: Cold Water Communities
TWP's third Adventure advocacy campaign for the protection of our Great Lakes. This short film highlights those who brave the cold and recreate in this beautiful body of water all year round. In capturing these communities, we aim to mobilize more action, awareness and impact when it comes to changing our waste consumption habits and fostering more local nature connection and exploration. Thank you Tristan Stephen, Founder of Main Floor Media who co-produced this short film alongside TWP.

Petition Excerpt:
Nature Canada: “The Eastern basin of Lake Ontario is rich in wildlife and is a crucial location for over 50 species of birds, reptiles, plants, and fish at risk, like the Blanding’s Turtle, Piping Plover and American Eel. But the area is vulnerable—Lake Ontario is one of the least protected of the Great Lakes. Land development, runoff pollution, invasive species, climate change, and a lack of protection mean that this natural gemand all the wildlife that inhabit it face an uncertain future unless we act now.”
Donate and Support:
To support TWP’s documentation of this campaign, pledge a donation of any amount and/or purchase a poetry book written by fellow cold-dipper and friend of TWP’s, Sean Reece.
Sean Reece has released his poetry book entitled, Open. “It is influenced by non-dual spirituality, Christian mysticism, mythology and the geography of Trinidad & Tobago. It is oriented around the Mandukya Upanishad’s interpretation of the Sanskrit work Om as representing four states of consciousness, and seeks to illuminate a wide variety of life experiences…” Sean is generously donating proceeds to The Downie Wenjack Fund and to our efforts at TWP Foundation.
